President Kenyatta rewards team Kenya Olympic Athletes in cash

Kenya athletes who won medals during the just conlcuded 2020 Tokyo Olympics will receive tokens as reward from the government.

This follows an announcement by President Uhuru Kenyatta who received the athletes at State House, Nairobi.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta… announced cash rewards of Shs 1 million, 750,000 and 500,000 for Gold, Silver and Bronze medalists respectively,“ said the President on state’s Twitter handle.

Kenya bagged 10 medals during the postponed Summer Games, including four golds, four silvers and two bronzes.
