NTSA gets a new boss

The Board of Directors of the National Transport and Safety Authority has appointed George Njao as the authority’s new Director General.

Njao, who will serve as the NTSA boss for a period of three years, he will be taking over from Francis Meja whose term in office has expired.

Meja was instrumental in setting up NTSA, which took roles that were previously assigned to the Kenya Revenue Authority, the Transport Licensing Board and the National Police Service.

The incoming NTSA boss has over 15 years experience in the transport sector, specifically in safety management.

The NTSA board has also made three new appointments which include that of the Director of Road Safety, Mr Badu Katelo, the Director of Registration and Licensing, Mr Christopher Wanjau and a Deputy Director of Supply Chain Management, Mr Shalakha Shem.
