YouTube has expanded its subscription services to Kenya, introducing YouTube Music and YouTube Premium, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to providing a diverse entertainment experience.
YouTube Music provides Kenyans with access to over 100 million official songs, live performances, videos, remixes, podcasts, and hard-to-find music, offering personalized recommendations and offline and background listening capabilities.
The app offers innovative features like Smart Search, Activity Bar, Explore Tab, Related Tab, and Song Lyrics, allowing users to discover songs with partial lyrics, quickly navigate playlists, and enjoy personalized mixes.

YouTube Premium subscribers enjoy ad-free viewing, background play, offline video downloads, and a premium version of YouTube Music, allowing offline music listening without ads.
“In addition to YouTube Music, YouTube Premium caters to our dedicated viewers by providing an enhanced viewing environment, empowering them to watch their favorite content seamlessly,” Awofisayo added.
YouTube Music is priced at Ksh.419, Family plan at Ksh.669, and Premium Bundle at Ksh.499 and Family plan at Ksh.949, offering uninterrupted YouTube and Music access.
YouTube Music and YouTube Premium services have been launched in Kenya, Ghana, and Senegal, enhancing the platform’s commitment to innovation and cultural exportation.
