MPs Reject Stella Soi Lang’at's Nomination to Cabinet

The National Assembly Committee on Appointments has rejected the nomination of Stella Soi Lang’at to the Cabinet.

Lang’at was nominated by President William Ruto to head the Gender docket, but did not secure the committee’s approval but specific reasons for her rejection have not yet been disclosed to the public.

What Next?

With the approval of these 19 nominees, the new Cabinet is expected to swiftly commence its duties across the various ministries. The rejection of Lang’at, however, leaves the Gender docket without a leader, prompting anticipation of a new nominee to fill the position.
