Laikipia targets Ksh.1 billion in revenues this financial year

Laikipia County generated the highest ever own source revenue of Ksh.840 million for the just ended financial year.

Although the collection fell short of the set target of Ksh.1 billion by over Ksh.166 million, the county managed to maintain an upward trajectory from the Ksh.730 million collected the previous year.

The performance has been attributed to an enhanced mapping of revenue streams, digitization of revenue collections and expansion of the tax base.

However, the County still plans on hitting the Ksh.1 billion mark in revenues in the current financial year.
