Kenya power has launched a media campaign that aims to enhance public awareness on electricity billing and how to guard against fraudsters.
Kenya power’s acting Managing Director And CEO, Engineer Jared Othieno has said the campaigns will be used for fraud curbing effort to mitigate losses by the firm and its customers.
The campaigns dubbed: “Power Sawa”, meaning power to you and “Usichezwe Na Conmen”, meaning do not be conned, will provide much needed customer sensitisation on the need to use official Kenya power payments and customer consultation avenues.
In addition, the twin campaigns will provide public education of topics such as the economic value of electricity, and how to protect oneself from fraudsters.
