Karua speaks on attending UDA’s NDC

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) is holding its National Delegates Conference  (NDC) Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Kasarani to crown the Deputy President as the party’s flagbearer with thousands of Kenyans expected to grace the much-awaited event.

NARC Kenya leader Martha Karua has come out to deny allegations that she would be attending the NDC.

Through her Tweeter handle Monday, the NARC boss termed the allegations as fake.

Karua’s attendance claims were ignited by Tharaka-Nithi senator Kithure Kindiki who told journalists that the iron lady was among the guest expected to grace the event that would see the DP crowned as the party’s flagbearer.

“We expect leaders from our partner parties to be present as our guests because our party leader has been a guest in some of their events. We expect the leader of the ANC party, Mr Mudavadi, Ford Kenya’s Wetang’ula, and the honorable Martha Karua of Narc Kenya. We expect other guests, but we will not tell you their names right now,” said Kindiki.

Karua’s OKA co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Gideon Moi joined Azimio La Umoja’s umbrella on March 12 at Jakaranda stadium, Nairobi in an event she did not attend.

Ruto will be crowned by over 5000 UDA Delegates as ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya leader will be present.

As UDA will be crowning the DP in a race to State House come August, it remains to be seen if both ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya Moses Wetangula will endorse Ruto as President Uhuru Kenyatta’s successor.

“It is not automatic that Ruto is the automatic flagbearer of Kenya Kwanza, we are negotiating and we are telling our supporters and reassure Kenyans that our position is clear, Musalia is a contender for the presidential flag bearer of 2022,” said Yarre while on an interview with Citizen TV.
