Jambojet prepares for flights to Kigali and Mogadishu

Regional low-cost carrier, Jambojet has begun selling flight tickets to Kigali and Mogadishu ahead of the commencement of maiden flights to the two destinations in November.

The airline will fly once daily to the two destinations. The one hour Nairobi- Kigali route will begin on November 25th at 2.35 pm and from Kigali at 4.15 pm with a promotional fare of KSh. 11,240.

The entry into the Kigali route makes Jambojet the only low -cost airline to operate the route from Nairobi.

The Nairobi-Mogadishu route will operate from Sunday, November 24th departing Nairobi at 6.00 am to arrive at 8.45 am.

The fare will start from KSh. 24,470 one way.

Jambojet Chief Executive Officer, Allan Kilavuka has said Jambojet’s entry into the two markets is part of the carrier’s regional expansion programme and brings to three the total number of routes that Jambojet operates in Africa with the exception of those it flies to on behalf of its parent company, Kenya Airways.

Jambojet currently flies to five local destinations namely Malindi, Ukunda, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret and one regional destination-Entebbe, Uganda – from its hub in Nairobi.

Jambojet recently acquired a brand new De Havilland Dash 8 -Q400 aircraft, a first of four aircrafts that are expected this year, to boost the airline’s capacity as it looks to soar into more regional destinations.
