ICEA Lion Group has dismissed any linkage with the Digi Trust Sacco, which almost has a similar name with the Group’s online platform called DigiTrust.
Digi Trust Sacco is currently marketing investment activities via online including other avenues like Bitcoin to the public.
In a statement, ICEA has denied having any working relationship with Digi Trust Sacco or associated either with the ICEA LION Asset Management or DIGITRUST solution.
“It has come to our attention that there is an entity known as Digi Trust Sacco….we wish to bring to the attention of the public that this entity is in no way connected or associated with ICEA LION Asset Management or DIGITRUST solution,” reads a cautionary statement published in Daily Nation.
Investors have been asked to be cautious while investing in ICEA assets, with the Group it won’t be held liable for engagements and transactions related with the said entity.
“In connection with the above, we cannot and will not be held accountable for any engagements and transactions with the said entity,”
From the website, Digi Trust Sacco describes itself as “an international financial company engaged in investment activities, which are related to trading on financial markets and cryptocurrency exchanges performed by qualified professional traders.”
At the beginning of the year, ICEA Lion Group launched an online platform christened DIGITRUST solution that gives retail investors access to the company’s money market fund at a lower minimum initial investment
ICEA Lion Asset Management Business Development General Manager Elizabeth Irungu said their platform only requirs a minimum initial deposit of Ksh.500 by an investor and a top up of as low as Ksh.20.
