Electronics company Vivo says the electronic market is flexible and will revive amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
According to James Irungu, the Vivo Kenya brand manager, the pandemic dampened the company’s performance significantly over the last year but the future prospects are bright.
He was speaking during the launch of the Vivo y21 latest mobile phone in Nairobi.
The phone is an upgraded function, which is faster and smoother when handling heavy operations such as playing games and multitasking.
According to Vivo, the phone will retail at Ksh.17,000 in Kenya, aims to drive smartphone affordability inclusion to Small sized and Medium Enterprises (SME) and the youths.
At the helm is a Helio P35 processor together with 64GB of onboard storage and 4GB of RAM with an extended 1GB RAM – borrowed from the onboard memory to help with multitasking and gaming.
Vivo Y21 will be powered by a 5000mAh battery and support 18W fast type-C charging.
Vivo Y21 will ship with Android 11 and Funtouch OS 11 straight out of the box.
For photography, Vivo Y21 will have an 8MP selfie camera and a dual main rear camera setup that includes a 13MP lens and a 2MP macro camera.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a microSD slot.
