South African woman put under forced isolation in Nakuru found dead

A South African woman identified as Elizabeth Holloway who had been placed under forced isolation at Kenya Industrial Training Institute Nakuru has been found dead.

Her death was confirmed by Nakuru County Executive Committee (CEC) member in charge of health Gichuki Kariuki.

Holloway was under 14-day mandatory quarantine, and allegedly committed suicide in her isolation room using a piece of cloth

She was found by health workers at the institution when they went on a routine check for those who had been isolated at the facility.

Holloway was placed under forced quarantine by the authorities when she failed to self-isolate days after she arrived in the Country from Abroad.
