
SGA Security Kenya has partnered with Electric Transits Africa to integrate Electric Vehicles (EVs) into its Security Alarm Response fleet.
SGA is aligning its objectives among them, enhancing reducing carbon emissions, which forms part of its environmental responsibilities goals (SDGs).
“We’re thrilled to be Kenya’s first security firm to adopt EVs,” said SGA Kenya Country Manager, Lucas Ndolo. “This partnership with Electric Transits Africa is a significant step toward a sustainable, eco-conscious future for our business and communities.”
The deal dictates Electric Transits Africa to supply the vehicles and provide technical support for seamless integration.
“We’re proud to support SGA’s climate goals and position it as a sustainability leader. This pilot project is set to expand, driving cleaner mobility across SGA’s operations,” said ETA Co-Founder and CEO, Wout van Blommestein.

SGA is looking at reducing fossil fuel reliance, lower its carbon footprint, and promote green innovation in the security sector.
“This initiative aligns with our ESG principles and supports a cleaner future,” said SGA Security Group Chairman & CEO, Jules Delahaije.
The partnership deal was graced by Dutch and Belgian ambassadors Henk Jan Bakker and Peter Maddens.
Kenya’s EV adoption grew 41.1% in 2024, driven by government policies and private sector efforts, per the Energy and Petroleum Authority.
UNEP’s Head of Sustainable Mobility, Rob de Jong said SGA commitment to SDGs demonstrates how private sector action can accelerate sustainable mobility.
Transport accounts for 25% of Kenya’s CO2 emissions and 60% of Nairobi’s air pollution, per UNEP, indicating the importance of such initiatives in combating climate change.
