
Authorities have arrested the prime suspect in the gruesome murders of multiple individuals whose bodies were discovered at the Kware dumpsite in Mukuru kwa Njenga, Embakasi South Constituency.
The suspect, Collins Jomaisi Khalisia, hailing from Vihiga County, was apprehended at a club in Kayole.
The 33-year-old is believed to have committed the murders and disposed of the victims’ bodies in polythene bags at the dumpsite. Khalisia, found in possession of multiple SIM cards at the time of his arrest, allegedly dumped the body of his first victim, his wife, in the quarry in 2022.
Following his arrest, the suspect was transported to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters in Kiambu for further police action.

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja confirmed on Sunday that eight bodies and twelve body parts have been recovered from the dumpsite as the investigation into the horrific incident continues.
Meanwhile, families of missing persons have been arriving at the Nairobi Funeral Home, formerly known as City Mortuary, to identify their loved ones among the retrieved bodies.
The 33-year-old Collins Jomaisi Khalisia, revealed to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) THAT he killed 42 women between 2022 and July 11, 2024, when he murdered his last victim.
His first victim was his wife whom he strangled to death, and dismembered before dumping her remains in the dumpsite.
“Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to have lured, killed and disposed 42 female bodies at the dumpsite all murdered between 2022 and as recent of July 11, 2024,” noted Mohamed Amin, DCI Director.
“The suspect alleged that his first victim was his wife Imelda Judith Khalenya whom he strangled to death before dismembering her body and disposing it at the same site. From the interrogation, all his victims have been murdered in the same style.”
