
More than 1.1 million candidates are sitting their Kenya Certificate of Primary Examinations, (KCPE) countrywide beginning Monday.
The exam which, kicked off this morning will run for three days before the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination, (KCSE) begins next week.
The national exams were postponed after the coronavirus pandemic disrupted the education calendar, starting march last year when the government shut down all learning institutions to stop the spread of the virus.
The Ministry of Education has assured parents and candidates that the national tests will be conducted under strict supervision.
Education Cabinet Secretary, Professor George Magoha led top government officials to distribute examination papers early today.
