Masten Wanjala killed by mob

The self-proclaimed serial child killer, Masten Wanjala is dead. He was killed in Bungoma.

Wanjala has been confirmed dead by Bungoma based-Assistant County Commissioner Cornelius Nyaribai.

The 20-year-old man has been making news for months now, the recent one being an escape from police custody in Nairobi’s Jogoo Road Police post.

His escape, however, saw three police officers arrested for allegedly aiding his break out.

They will be charged with aiding escape from lawful custody and neglect of official duty contrary to section 124 and 128 of the Penal code respectively.

Wanjala who confessed to have killed 10 children escaped the police custody under unclear circumstances.

According to a Nation Africa report, Wanjala escaped from Jogoo Road Police station when officers were processing him for arraignment in Court on Wednesday.

He is said to have escaped unknown time on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

Wanjala was yet to take a formal plea into his alleged murder probe.
