The 2022 Magical Kenya Travel Expo (MKTE) is set to host tourism business buyers from over 35 countries for a 3-day long expo that has attracted tourism players for business deals.
The expo, which will be held between October 5 – 7, 2022, brings together 160 hosted buyers and over 200 exhibitors, industry partners and media from some of Kenya’s key source markets in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas.
Kenya Tourism Board CEO Dr. Betty Radier says that the expo, which will be hosted at the Bomas of Kenya in 2022, will go a long way in highlighting the diversity and richness of Kenya’s tourism industry.
“This year we shall be hosting MKTE at the Bomas of Kenya which has a facility that will enable us to showcase the best of Kenya. The expo is a good opportunity for us coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, as it provides a platform for our trade with hosted buyer partners to interact and explore business opportunities,” said Dr. Radier.
Hosted buyers include travel agents, tour operators, hoteliers and trade media from Kenya’s key tourism source markets in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. “This is yet another opportunity for our hospitality industry to network and explore business opportunities at the leading travel trade expo in East Africa.”
Dr. Radier says increased participation in the event is a testament to the growing recognition of MKTE as Africa’s show of choice as well as Kenya’s global stature as a Meetings, Incentives, Conference and Exhibition (MICE) destination
She added that the expo would offer ideal platform for B2B meetings between leading African products and top-producing global buyers. The pre-scheduled appointment system between exhibitors and hosted buyers is instrumental in driving business discussions.
