Laikipia becomes first county to pass BBI Bill in Mt Kenya

Laikipia County became the first county from Mt. Kenya to approve the Constitutional of Kenya (Amendment)) Bill, 2021 on Thursday.

This in total, brings it to ten Counties after Nairobi and Vihiga, the latest, that have seen through the constitutional amendment Bill 2020.

Other counties that have passed the Bill are Kisii, Siaya, Kisumu, Kajiado, West Pokot, Busia, Trans Nzoia and Homa Bay.

So far, it is only Barigo County that has rejected the proposed amendments to the Kenyan Constitution.
