Konza, T.D. Jakes Foundation hold talks for wider exploration

The Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA) and T.D. Jakes Foundation have begun conversations that will see the Authority tap into a global partnership network in an effort to propel and promote the Technopolis.

After a successful inaugural meeting, the two institutions are now looking towards a long-term partnership in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) that currently represents one of the fastest-growing and highest-paid job sectors in the world.

“Through this engagement, we at Konza Technopolis are looking forward to being a platform that will not only impact Kenya but the rest of the world,” KoTDA Chief Executive Officer, Eng. John Tanui said.

On her part, the President and CEO of the T.D. Jakes Foundation, Hattie Hill said the Foundation will focus on building its relationship with Konza Technopolis with a view to supporting the Technopolis’ exposure to a global audience in the entertainment scene through film and documentaries.

Speaking virtually from Dallas, Texas, Bishop T.D. Jakes the Chairman of the T.D. Jakes Foundation said the Foundation will expose Konza to a global audience through film and stimulate interest in Kenya’s natural product sectors including world-renown tourism products.

The first roundtable meeting, which was held both virtually and physically at the Konza Complex attracted leaders from the government, academia, business community and the private sector.
