Kenya has reported 431 more COVID-19 cases, according to the ministry of health.
The new cases were from a sample size of 5,281 tests, translating to a positivity rate of 8.2 percent.
Kenya’s caseload now stands at 193,189.
Counties with the highest number of new infections include Nairobi, which has 256 new cases, Machakos 36, Kilifi 26, Nyeri 19, Nakuru 18, and Kiambu has 17 new infections.
Official data further shows that 595 more patients have recovered from the disease, raising total recoveries to 182,921.

At the same time, the ministry of health has announced eight more deaths, pushing cumulative fatalities to 3,783. According to Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, the new deaths were captured after facility audit.
Currently, 1,224 patients are admitted in various health facilities across the country, with 134 of them fighting for their lives in the intensive care units.
