Kenya lifts mandatory wearing of face masks

Kenya has lifted the mandatory wearing of face masks in public places.

The announcement was made by the Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe on Friday, March 11, 2022.

The following COVID-imposed restrictions have also been lifted;

All In-person worship resumes to full capacity as long as all congregants and worshippers are vaccinated.

All quarantine and isolation of confirmed cases of COVID-19 to be stopped with immediate effect for both vaccinated and unvaccinated persons.

In-country transport to resume at full capacity and staff must be fully vaccinated and travelers must have their face masks on at all times during the time of travel.

All in-person indoor meetings to resume at full capacity of the venue as long as all participants are vaccinated. Attendees must wear face masks.
