KCB group is participating in the fourth edition of the Singapore Fintech Festival to discuss the future of the Financial Services industry.
The annual conference, which commenced on Monday and ends on Friday, features the theme of sustainability and covers technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cloud and Cybersecurity; Financial Inclusion; Green Finance; and Technology Beyond Finance.
KCB will be in a panel discussion presenting on Africa Fintech, specifically the role of mobile money in Financial inclusion.
In 2018, KCB group moved over Kshs. 54 billion through its mobile banking platform.
In July, during the Afro-Asia Fintech summit, Kenya and Singapore through their respective central banks signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on innovation.
Under the agreement, the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) partnered to co-develop foundational infrastructure on identity, data and electronic know-your-customer procedures.
