John Mbadi has announced that he will not be vying in the Homa Bay Gubernatorial race a day after the party announced that it would adopt consensus to avoid fallouts.
Mbadi was set to race it down with Homa Bay County Women Representative Gladys Wanga for the party’s ticket but opted out after a discussion with the party.
“Well,I must say this has definitely been one of the most difficult decisions that i have to make in the recent past .What has however made it doable is my unquestioned commitment to the ODM national agenda,quest for national growth and stability and course my unwavering support to the RT Hon.Raila Odinga’s presidential bid,”Stated Mbadi in a statement.
Earlier in January, ODM Party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna announced that nominations had already began in the 47 counties.
Further Mbadi thanked his supporters for their continuous support to him.
“I,therefore,thank all my supporters and even those who are yet to support my bid this far we’ve talked. Your relentless and selfless energy towards our real change campaign was just incomparable,” added Mbadi.
