International public relations and communications consultancy company BlackHouse Media has opened two new offices in Africa, Kenya, and Ghana, both important markets in terms of culture, commerce, and communications in Africa.
The company says revenues have doubled since its first international expansion into the UK, in 2021, and it is now forging ahead with its globalisation strategy.
The Africa operations will be under the auspices of ID Africa, BHM’s Africa-focused advisory firm with nearly a ten years record in supporting clients and partners in many African countries, especially in Nigeria and Kenya.
‘‘We are beyond excited by this opportunity to be able to support our clients in more African countries; and look forward to working with local partners, and organisations in both Kenya and Ghana to serve clients, develop the industry, and share potentially impactful ideas and collaborations,” said BHM Founder and CEO Ayeni Adekunle.
Already established as one of the more promising PR and communications firms from Africa, BHM hopes to become the world’s first global communications firm from the continent, through local operations and distributed teams across the continent as well as in Europe, Asia, and America.
Past and current clients include Coca Cola, MTN, Heineken, Reckitt, Jumia, Shoprite, Honeywell, Interswitch, PMI, and MultiChoice. The company hires almost 100 people in more than 10 cities.
Femi Falodun, ID Africa CEO added that after seven years of building and perfecting our unique approach to marketing and communications in Nigeria, we are now taking this distinctive proposition to other parts of Africa. With a combination of owned media consumer insights, proprietary technology, editorial expertise, and advisers, we are positioned to deliver truly impactful work across the continent.
“ID Africa has come a long way from humble beginnings as a three-person digital media unit of BHM that was spun off and incubated, to becoming one of Africa’s fastest-growing communications companies. Today, we employ over 30 full-time professionals in Nigeria, work for 10 clients across 6 industries, in 4 countries; and media assets with a combined user base of over a million.”
