PSCU…President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived in New York for the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 74) which kicked off on 17th September 2019.
The President is scheduled to address the high-level General Debate on Wednesday, September 25 and will attend bilateral meetings and courtesy calls from various interest groups including Kenyans living in the US.
He will open his engagements on Monday morning with a bilateral meeting with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and later participate in climate change, Universal Health Coverage (UHC), counter-terrorism and blue economy engagements lined up throughout the week.

The UN Secretary-General will on On September 23, convene a Climate Summit, and the United Nations Genral Assembly (UNGA) will hold a one-day high-level meeting on Universal Health Coverage (UHC);
On Tuesday, September 24, following the opening of the 74th General Debate, the UNGA will convene a meeting of the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), which will take place on the afternoon of 24 September and all day on 25 September;
The UNGA will hold a high-level dialogue on financing for development (FfD), as well as a high-level meeting on the elimination of nuclear weapons on Thursday September 26 and lastly on
On Friday September 27, the UNGA will hold the high-level meeting to review progress made in addressing the priorities of small island developing States (SIDS) through the implementation of the SIDS Accelerated Modalities of Action (SAMOA) Pathway.
