The Nairobi High Court has ruled that 54 tea factories and Kenya Tea Development Agency’s annual general meetings, which are scheduled to commence next week, will proceed as planned.
The High Court however also directed that pending the mention of the case on 2nd December 2019, the respective AGM agenda on confirmation of directors be suspended in view of the fact that the same is a subject matter of the court case filed by three persons on Njunu, Kiru and Makomboki tea factory companies.
The court did not invalidate the elections of the affected directors.
KTDA and the 54 tea factory companies held their directors nomination elections on 25th October 2019 and 5th November 2019 respectively.
