Petroleum and gas products supplier Total Energies Marketing Plc has appointed Olivier Van Parys as new Director and Chairman of the board effective September 21, 2021.
Van Parys holds a bachelor’s degree in civil mechanical engineering from Catholic University of Louvain and a specialized engineering graduate degree in automotive engine engineering from enspm (IFP school).
He has worked for the total energies company for the last 26 years.
In his time at the company he served as a lubricant engineer for the company’s research centre unit in France, product development engineer for lubricants, regional specialties manager at total energies (East Africa), marketing manager at total energies.

He also served as the operation director at total energies affiliate which manages its French retail network, the managing director at total energies marketing Congo, managing director at TPG Plc in Ghana and managing director at total energies marketing Nederland.
He is currently the executive vice president of East and Central Africa division of the total energies marketing services branch in France.
He will be taking over from outgoing chairman, Jean-Philippe Torres, who resigned as a Director and Chairman of the board on September 21.
