President William Ruto made changes to the senior ranks of the executive, including nominations, reassignments, and appointments.
The reshuffles and appointment, according to the press release from State House aim to enhance service delivery and align with the Administration’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
The President has nominated the following individuals as Cabinet Secretaries In accordance with Article 152(2) of the Constitution;
- Hon. Mutahi Kagwe – Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock Development.
- Hon. Lee Kinyanjui – Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Investments, Trade & Industry.
- Hon. William Kabogo – Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Information, Communications & The Digital Economy.
These nominations are subject to parliamentary approval.

New Ambassadors and High Commissioners
Under Article 132(2)(e) of the Constitution, the President nominated several individuals for key diplomatic positions:
- Ms. Margaret Nyambura Ndung’u – High Commissioner, Ghana.
- Hon. Ababu Namwamba – Permanent Representative of Kenya to UNEP/UNON.
- Amb. Dorothy Angote – High Commissioner, Zimbabwe.
- Dr. Andrew Karanja – Ambassador, Brazil.
Reassignment of Cabinet Secretaries
Two Cabinet Secretaries have been reassigned to new portfolios, as outlined under Article 152(5)(a):
- Hon. Salim Mvurya – Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy & Sports.
- Hon. Kipchumba Murkomen – Ministry of Interior & National Administration.
State Corporation Chairpersons Appointed
The President also made critical appointments to state corporations as per Article 132 of the Constitution:
- Hon. Ndiritu Muriithi – Chairperson, Kenya Revenue Authority.
- Mr. Anthony Mwaura – Chairperson, Kenya Rural Roads Authority.
- Hon. Kembi Gitura – Chairperson, Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital.
According to State House, these appointments are geared toward ensuring strategic leadership in critical state agencies.
All nominations have been submitted to the National Assembly for approval, as stipulated by law.
