The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has announced a temporary closure of the Transport Integrated Management System (TIMS) portal.
The closure will take effect from midnight on Friday, December 29, 2023, and will last until midnight on Monday, January 1, 2024.
During this period, all transactions on NTSA services will be restricted. This move is part of the NTSA’s plan to integrate all its online services onto the e-Citizen platform.
Call to Verify e-Citizen Credentials
In preparation for this transition, the NTSA has issued a call to all motorists to verify their e-Citizen credentials. This is a crucial step as, starting Tuesday, January 2, 2024, only e-Citizen login credentials – the username and password – will be used to access NTSA services.
A Move Towards Centralization
The integration of NTSA online services onto the e-Citizen platform is a significant step towards centralizing public service delivery. By consolidating these services onto one platform, the NTSA aims to streamline access, improve efficiency, and enhance the user experience for all motorists.
Motorists are, therefore, advised to ensure their e-Citizen credentials are up-to-date and to brace for the temporary disruption in service during the transition period.
