Vivo Energy Kenya confirmed the quality of Shell V-Power fuel after an independent laboratory test confirmed it meets global standards.
The test was conducted by Intertek Testing Services, a globally accredited lab, following concerns raised in a viral social media video.
The results verified that Shell V-Power in Kenya maintains the intended Research Octane Number (RON) of 95, with sample tests showing:
✅ Limuru Road Service Station – RON 95.1
✅ Woodridge Service Station – RON 96
✅ Lavington Service Station – RON 95.9
Vivo Energy Kenya, the exclusive distributor of Shell fuels and lubricants, launched an investigation after online claims questioned the fuel quality at select service stations.
“Shell V-Power is imported via designated cargo ships with a certified RON of 95—a refinery property that cannot be altered.”
