The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has declared Abdulkadir Mohamed Haji as the Senator of Garissa County.
Haji who was running on a Jubilee party ticket was declared the winner when the IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati said there was no contest.
The Garissa by-election had been scheduled for May 18, 2021.
He replaces his father, the late Yusuf Haji, who died in February this year.
