Kenyan woman makes U-turn, tells court Nigerian man never conned her Ksh.31 million

A fresh twist has emerged after a Kenyan lady, Bella Bronislavia admitted in court that she was advancing loans to Mr. Edwin Obi Okoye.

Appearing virtually before Magistrate Derrick Kutto at Kibera court in Nairobi, Bella Bronislavia admitted that she had loaned Mr Okoye Kh.31 million to invest in his business and would pay later.

She also clarified that she never had any sexual relationship with Mr. Okoye but were only friends.

In documents presented in court, Bella transferred the amounts to the business accounts of Mr. Okoye, which amounts to Ksh.30 million.

Bella was at pains to explain to the prosecutor why she opted for the criminal route instead of the civil route yet she admitted to lending the money to Mr. Okoye.

She also told the court that she received loan repayment of Ksh.500,000 from Mr. Okoye

In December 2020, the media was awash with claims that Mr Okoye had swindled Bella, “her lover,” Ksh.31 Million.

Bella has now clarified in court that she was never conned any monies by Mr. Okoye but voluntarily lent the money. She also made it clear they never had any sexual relationship as earlier claimed by a section of the publications.
