The committee on environment and natural resources has ordered the immediate closure of dams owned by Sojanmi Springfield Limited.
The ruling was made by the chair of the committee Kareke Mbiuki on Thursday citing contempt on part of the flower firm.
According to the committee, the firm presented fake documents and did not present all its directors as requested.
While making the ruling Mbiuki warned the flower firm against the use of the dams until such a time when the firm has received the approval of the National Environment Management Authority NEMA and the water resources authority.
In addition, the committee says the firm must present all its directors before it.
According to the Chairman this move is meant to avert a case like the one in Solai tragedy earlier this year.
