Stanbic Bank has entered into a collaboration with handcrafting creative under the Ubunifu Kenya Association to help grow its export business portfolio.
Through the partnership, Stanbic bank and Ubunifu have rolled out a free countrywide financial literacy program targeted at handcrafters keen to grow their businesses locally and internationally.
Through the partnership, 500 business owners across the country will get training on management skills, savings and investments, managing credit and debt, insurance and budgeting.
According to Grace Mbugua, the Chairperson of Ubunifu Kenya Association, the training series comes on the back of Ubunifu’s launch of a 5-year strategic plan that seeks to grow the industry through training and capacity, financing partnerships, access to local and international markets and growth of local content.
