Kenya’s National Treasury and Economic Planning has issued an open national tender inviting local and international firms to participate in the leasing of Electric Vehicles (EVs) under the Government Motor Vehicle Leasing Programme.
The move is geared toward supporting the National Government’s Administrative Services, the National Police Service, Kenya Prisons Services, and other Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
Tender Details
The tender, referenced TNT/ONT/018/2024-2025, seeks proposals from:
- Original Motor Vehicle Manufacturers
- Dealers and Assemblers
- Leasing Companies
- Other interested firms in the EV sector
The goal is to enhance the adoption of sustainable and energy-efficient electric vehicles within government institutions, aligning with Kenya’s Vision 2030 and sustainable development agenda.
