Kenya Bureau of Standard (KEBS) has put Italian Candy Maker Ferrero which makes Kinder Joy chocolate on notice citing safety concerns.
This as European Markets pulled out the product from supermarket shelves due to health concerns.
Following Salmonella outbreak fears, European authorities resulted in pulling out the product that is popular among kids.
The candy maker firm has also announced that it would pull out some chocolate products in Germany as a precaution.
The current number of Salmonella case in the United Kingdom has risen to 63 with the most affected being under the age of five.
UK food safety agency (FSA) has advised its citizens to avoid consuming the product.
“We know that these particular products are popular with young children, especially as Easter approaches,so we would urge parents and guardians of children to check if any products are already in their home are affected by this recall”,said the Agency.
