Centum Investment Company has appointed Risper Alaro as the Group Finance Director effective March 15, 2022.
Alaro rejoins Centum after being away on sabbatical leave.
Until mid-2018, she served Centum in various leadership capacities for a period of 18 years.
She established Centum Business Solution Limited and served as its first Managing Director from 2014 and also as Director-Finance and Operations prior to this position.
“Having previously worked with Risper for 17 years at Centum,I am confident that she will add tremendous value to Centum and its group companies. Ripser brings a wealth of experience and will greatly assist the leadership team in meeting our Centum 4.0 strategic objectives. Under the Centum 4.0 strategic period of 2019 to 2024, Centum targets to enhance shareholder value through strengthening its balance sheet by deleveraging its capital structure, enhancing its cash annuity income and increasing the dividend payments to its shareholders,” said the Centum Investment PLC Managing Director and CEO, James Mworia.
Risper is a practising certified executive coach and serves as a non-executive director on the boards of several organisations, including Nairobi Securities Exchange(NSE), Bank of Kigali (BKI) and Kenya Climate Ventures (KCV).

She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a member of the Institute of Certified Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and a certified mentor coach.
Alaro holds a masters degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
She takes over from Wambua Kimeu, who resigned to pursue other interests.
