Uchumi granted 30 days to engage banks over Ksh2.8 billion debt

The High Court Commercial and Tax Division has granted Uchumi an additional 30 days to engage banks over the settlement of outstanding loans advanced to the cash-strapped retailer. The directive by the court dated September 27 sits as a pre-cursor to the full acceptance of the supermarket’s Company Voluntary Agreement
