SHA CEO Wachira Directs Employers on SHIF Remittance Accounts

Employers are now required to channel contributions by the 9th of every month to any of the listed accounts.

Acting CEO of the Social Health Authority (SHA), Elijah Wachira, has issued a directive outlining six designated bank accounts for the remittance of employee wage deductions to the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF).

Employers are now required to channel contributions by the 9th of every month to any of the listed accounts.

The bank accounts provided for SHIF contributions are as follows:

The account name for all the listed banks is “Social Health Insurance Fund.”

Employers are urged to ensure timely remittance of contributions to facilitate continuous employee coverage under SHIF.
