Parts of Kenya to face total blackout, says Kenya Power

Some parts of the country will face power outage Tuesday, Kenya Power has announced.

The regions which will experience power supply interruption include Nairobi, Homa Bay, MIgori, Nandi and Mombasa counties but the power utility has not given a reason for the power outage.

Kenya Power has scheduled power outages in some parts of the country this Tuesday.

In Nairobi, the affected areas will be part of Kileleshwa, Riverside. The areas include Ring Road Kileleshwa, Part of Mandera Road, Kileleshwa police station, part fOloitoktok road, Migori road, Laikipia road, Githunguri road, Kirichwa Greek, Kenton College, Tabere Crescent, Kagundo road, Kieni road, Kuguru close and adjacent customers.

The outage will start from 9 am to 5 pm.

In Homabay, the areas include Kadel, Nyangweso and Andhiro. The specific areas include  Nyaikinyi, Olare, Nyangweso, Kadel, Dhok Mit, Kandige, Rachunyo, Alara, Adhiro and adjacent customers. The outage will be from 9 am to 2 pm.

In Nandi County, the area is Sigot with specific regions including Sigot, Kabiyemit, Cheptil, Chepkemei, Ndalat, Kipkaren, Mmzee and Kaplemur, Kapkitui and adjacent areas. The outage will begin from 10 am to 3 pm.

In Mombasa, the affected areas include Likoni Bakery, Mrima Hospital, Bomu Hospital, Kitaruni, Consolate Catholic Church, Ujamaa Likoni Fire Station, Rehabilitation Center, Ujamaa Shonda, Inuka Police Station, Vyemani, Mbuta Hospital, Mwangala Primary School, CCECC Kiteja, Kona Mpya, Shika Adabu and adjacent areas. The blackout will start from 9 am to 3 pm.

In Migori, the areas include Bondo Kosiemo. The specific areas include the whole of Bondo Kosiemo and adjacent customers. The blackout will be from 9 am to 2 pm.
