Badi Muhsin Is Dead

Veteran Swahili News anchor Badi Muhsin is Dead.

Muhsin died while in Mombasa after a short illness.

He was aged 67 at the time of his death.

When Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) made a relaunch in June this year, Kenyans could not hold their ecstasy when they saw Muhsin make a return to the screen after a hiatus.

Kenya’s media and its freedom has been shaped to where it is currently, and the likes of Muhsin would take much credit for the transformation.

It is true to say that media is a small world but Muhsin’s presence on screen made it bigger with his ever appealing smile.

It is a huge loss to lose such a veteran figure, more so in the media industry – a man who has for decades at the state-owned media, KBC, instilled journalistic character into many.

We at Metropol TV relay our condolences to Muhsin’s family and friends.
