
Remittance inflows in January dropped by 7.07 percent from what the country received in December, according to new data from the Central Bank of Kenya.
Remittances in THE month under review stood at Ksh.30.5 billion down from Ksh.32.8 billion
However, the remittances received in January reflected a 7.3 percent year-on-year increase to in January 2021 from Ksh.28.3 billion in January 2020.
The cumulative inflows in the 12 months to January totalled Ksh.341 billion compared to Ksh.308.3 billion in the 12 months to January 2020, reflecting an increase of 10.8 percent.
