Kakamega Homeboyz made it two wins in two matches in the Premier League after beating Francis Kimanzi’s side 1-0 at the Utalii Complex on Sunday.

Defender George Odiwuor scored the solitary goal at the stroke of halftime off the penalty spot that giving  Kakamega Homeboyz the much deserved three points to sit comfortably on second position ahead of Ulinzi Stars Sofapaka and AFC Leopards

The loss worsened things for Francis Kimanzi who is already missing key players such as Musa Masika, Kevin Kimani and skipper Johnstone Omurwa from the first 11 squad.

In the CAF Champions’ League group game  Tusker FC were beaten 1-0  by Zamalek at the Nyayo National Stadium. Tusker seemed to have the upper hand in the first half but were not able to find the back of the net.

The shining moment of the match came on the 47th minute when Zamalek found the back of the net courtesy of a strike from Achraf Bencharki on the 47th Minute.

Both teams were unable to find the back of the net and the scoreline remain unchanged at Full time. Tusker will face Zamalek in a return fixture to be played on the 22nd of October in Egypt.

In the CAF Confederations  Cup Gor Mahia came from a goal down to defeat Al-Ahly Merowe 3-1 in the first leg of their Caf Confederation Cup first round fixture.

Ahmed Abok had given the hosts a lead but Samuel Onyango, Benson Omalla, and Jules Ulimwengu struck back at on the 55th 65th and 70th minute   to give the green army the much deserved away points at  the New Suez Stadium in Egypt.

In the English Premier League Liverpool were off to a flying start after the international break when they thrashed Watford 5-0. Sadio Mane opened the score for Jurgen Klop’s side on the  8th minute before Robert Firmino extend the lead further on the 52nd minute before Mohamed Salah scored a superb solo goal on the 54th minute. Robert Firminho’s harttrick on the stoppage time put the game beyond reach for Watford.

In another premier League Match,Title contenders Chelsea scooped three points courtesy of a thunderbolt strike from Ben Chilwel at the cusp of the end of the first half. Edouard Mendy was the star of the game as he kept the Brentford side at bay to ensure they collected the much needed 3 points.

Meanwhile Ole Gunnar Sojsker’s side were stunned by the foxes at the King Power Stadium on Saturday. Mason Greenwood opened the score for the Red’s on the 19th Minute before it was cancelled by Youri Tilemans strike .Leicester took lead on the 78th Minute courtesy of a goal from Caglar Soyuncu but was canceled out by Marcus Rashford on the 82nd Minute. Leiceter then scored successively on the 83 and the stoppage time to ensure the game ended 4-2.

Defending champions Manchester City beat Burnley 2-0. The citizen’s goals were scored by Bernado Silva and Kevin De Bruyne on the 12th and 70th minute. The win guaranteed Pep Guardiola’s side three points to ensure they keep their title defense within reach.

Tottenham Hotspurs beat Newcastle United 3-2 at St James Park. Steve Bruce’s side took the  lead courtesy of a 2nd minute goal from Callum Wilson before Tanguy Ndombele canceled it on the 17th minute before Harry Kane extended the lead on the 22nd minute. Son Heung Min Son cemented the win for Tottenham Hot spurs. Newcastle got a life line courtesy of an own goal by Eric Dier  on the 89th minute but it was not enough to change the tables in their Favour.

Chelsea now lead the table with 19points followed by Liverpool,Machester City and Brighton with 18,17,15 points respectively.Tottenham complete the top 5 standings with 15th Points.
