Kenya Aviation auctioning cars for as cheap as Ksh.120,000
The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) has invited bidders for its cars at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
In a notice dated June 21, KAA said bidders should present themselves at the auctioning site on June 28, 2022.
“The tenderer shall bear all costs associated with the preparation and submission of its tender, and the Procuring Entity, will in no case be responsible or liable for those costs, regardless of the conduct or outcome of the tendering process,” read the statement in part.
Among the cars which have been put on auction include Cherry Tigo which are going for Ksh120,000 each. Originally, a Cherry Tigo costs a little above Ksh.4 million.
Others are a number of Toyota Hiace with each going for Ksh. 537,000.
Interested bidders are required to obtain official bidding documents Invitation to tender, with all information involving bidding processes available at kcaa.or.ke
Bidders must put a deposit for every item tendered for and the amount indicated on the form failure to which they will be disqualified and their funds reverted.
“Prospective tenders are advised to view the items to be sold before tendering. This will enable them to arrive at the most reasonable and competitive tenders. Tenders are based on ‘as where it is and the condition it is in’ and the conditions of the items are not guaranteed or warranted by the seller,” added the statement.
