Knight Frank appointed leasing agent for Kenya’s tallest building, GTC

Real Estate and Commercial Properties consulting company Knight Frank Kenya has been appointed as leasing agent for Kenya’s tallest building Global Trade Centre (GTC) after subsequently signing an agreement with the tower’s investor AVIC International.

The firm will be responsible for leasing out prime office space in the 42-floor skyscraper, situated along Waiyaki Way, Nairobi.

“Adding the Global Trade Centre to our portfolio further demonstrates our market leadership in commercial property leasing in the country. GTC is a prime office space in Nairobi in arguably the best office location in the city. Our track record of catering to the best in class commercial office spaces will ensure we bring in a great mix of tenants to occupy this exclusive space,” said Knight Frank Kenya Managing Director Ben Woodhams.

Since the groundbreaking of the construction of the GTC project, the Chinese investor AVIC International Real Estate (Kenya) Limited has made direct investments valued at over Ksh.40 billion.

The development has created employment for thousands of Kenyans, and it is bound to create several business opportunities for the Kenyan economy.

In December last year,  President Uhuru Kenyatta flipped the switch to light up the 184-meter skyscraper whose construction began in October 2014.

The Head of State expressed his delight in seeing the new tallest building in Kenya and East Africa completed in good time and ready for business.

The ultra-premium HOPSCA (hotel, office, parking, shopping mall, convention, and apartment)  boasts of its 35-level hotel tower that will host the star-studded luxury five-star JW Marriott Hotel, 4 residential and serviced apartment towers ranging from 24 to 28 levels and a luxury boutique mall.
