Court frees Mary Wambui, daughter Njoki on bail

Businesswoman Mary Wambui, fugitive in Ksh.2.2 tax evasion surrenders

Mary Wambui Mugai together with her daughter Purity Njoki Mungai have been freed.

The Anti-corruption court freed the two on a Ksh.25 million cash bail each or a Ksh.50 million bond and two sureties of Ksh.25 million.

the two who are also directors of Puma Holdings have been ordered to surrender their travel documents to the police.

This comes two hours after they surrendered before the court after being at large for three days over Ksh.2.2 billion tax evasion.
