The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) is inviting new entrants to its internship programme in the banking and financial sectors.

According to CBK, the objective of the internship programme will be to develop and prepare candidates’ talent to “take up employment opportunities that come up in the Kenyan banking and financial sector.”

Interested candidates for the programme must range between 21 to 29 years of age and are required to have a degree from any recognised university in Kenya in the fields of finance, economics, and statistics.

Other fields include banking, accounting, micro-finance, management or social sciences, or a masters degree in a relevant field.

Candidates are required to have graduated within the last 24 months from this month (September) with the deadline for application set for September 23, 2021.

Applicants have been advised to drop their forms via the online link https://careers.centralbank.go.ke:8443

However, internship programmes at CBK do not necessarily mean is a direct ticket for retention, but the regulator allows interns to apply for any position it advertises upon successful completion of the programme.
