Oscar Sudi to spend a week in police custody
Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi will remain in police custody for 7 more days.
Nakuru Law Courts Magistrate Josephat Kalo ruled on Thursday as he awaits the completion of investigations into allegations against the legislature.
Magistrate Kalo slashed the detention days by half, much of the prosecution side that had petitioned for the MP to remain in custody for 14 days.
Sudi is facing accusations of hate speech, assault of a police officer, offensive conduct, unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition and resisting arrest.
He became the guest of state on September 13 when he surrendered himself to the police.
