26 patients discharged from hospitals as COVID-19 cases jump to 6,366

COVID-19 cases jump to 6,941 after 268 more test positive

176 more people have tested positive for coronavirus out of 2,419 tested samples in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of COVID-19 cases to 6,366 in the country.

As the numbers keep rising, 26 patients were also discharged from the hospitals, raising the total recoveries to 2,039.

However, two more patients succumbed to the virus.

During the daily update by the Ministry of Health on the state of COVID-19, Health Chief Administrative Officer Rashid Aman said, all the latest cases are Kenyans where 100 are male and 76 are female.

The youngest person to be infected is a 3-year-old child while the oldest is 78.

Nairobi County has 99 cases, Mombasa 20, Kiambu 17, Migori 13, Uasin Gishu 10, Kajiado 4, Busia 4, Kilifi 3, Machakos 2, Narok 1, Kakamega 1 and Kisumu 1.
