18 admitted in ICU out of 609 hospitalised COVID-19 patients
The Ministry of Health has unravelled that 18 patients are currently admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in the country.
They are out of 609 patients who have been hospitalised across all hospitals in the country.
The revelation was made on Friday during the daily update on coronavirus by the Ministry of Health.
During the update, Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman also said 149 people tested positive for coronavirus out of 3,000 samples that were tested in the past 24 hours.
This brings the total number of coronavirus in Kenya to 5,833 even as 48 patients got discharged from hospitals, bringing the total recoveries to 1,905.
Unfortunately, 5 patients succumbed to the virus, shooting the death toll in the country to 137.
The cases are 29 figures less than those which were reported on June 25, where according to the Ministry the tests are being released based on the results from laboratories in several testing centres spread across the country.
Number of samples being tested in Kenya have gone high in the past month, but the headache remains around the curve which is yet to be stabilized even as the numbers keep fluctuating every day.
