Kenya Airways to lay off staff

National carrier, Kenya Airways has raked in Ksh. 214 million in revenues through its cargo business during the month of April, the airline’s CEO, Allan Kilavuka has revealed.

In an exclusive interview with Metropol TV, Kilavuka said the airline made 53 cargo flights during the month of April since the onset of the COVID-19 crisis that compelled the Government to halt the entry of scheduled passenger flights into Kenya.

Kilavuka said the national carrier is now aiming to grow its cargo business to 40 percent of its revenues from the current level of 10 percent.
